Abstract

Academic libraries are increasingly recognized as pivotal players in promoting climate change awareness and environmental responsibility. This article explores the multifaceted roles of academic libraries in fostering environmental consciousness, the strategies they employ, and the challenges they face. By leveraging their resources, expertise, and strategic position within educational institutions, libraries can play a vital role in worldwide initiatives aimed at addressing climate change and encouraging sustainable practices. This article also discusses best practices for integrating sustainability into library operations and educational programs, highlighting the ability of libraries to serve as drivers of beneficial environmental transformation.
