Digital Preservation Policy

The digital preservation policy of the Institute for Environmental Nanotechnology (IENT) stands as a testament to its commitment to safeguarding scholarly research content for long-term accessibility and integrity.

IENT has implemented multiple preservation mechanisms to ensure permanent availability of published content, even in the event of technical failures.

Preservation Measures

Website Archiving

All electronic content of IENT, including research publications and website data, is stored on three independent servers. The primary server provides online access to readers, while two additional servers maintain secure backups.

In the event of a server failure, alternative resources can be brought online to restore website access within 24 hours.

Self-archiving Policy (Archiving by the Author)

As an open-access journal, IENT encourages authors to archive their published articles in personal, institutional, or funding-agency repositories after publication.

Authors must include complete bibliographic details along with a direct link to the original article published in IENT.

Portico Archiving

IENT preserves its scholarly content through Portico, a trusted digital preservation service, thereby ensuring long-term archival stability and continued access.
